Interior Drone

Hi all, wanted to ask a question , get some experienced advice. Have 2016 ex-t coupe. Put on resonators in place of mufflers (not cat back) louder drone in cab from exhaust. I set off to do sound deadening in trunk/under rear seat/doors. Still was loud enough that I put stock mufflers back on. I wanted to try Magnaflow or something similar, but am concerned Drone noise will be same or even worse. Anyone have any experience similar? Car is a CVT which makes it more challenging but hoping there is a compromise. Looking for a little growl from exhaust not as much concerned with power gain
