I am looking into upgrading the intercooler and need some advice. I've been looking into PRL and HKS and was wondering how much more efficient the cooling would be from stock if I just upgrade the intercooler itself without any additional piping. Also was wondering if it effects turbo lag as some say it does and others say there isn't any more turbo lag than stock! all advice is welcome !

You cannot go wrong with HKS or PRL.

I personally went with PRL... I am very glad I did. There's no added turbo lag. There is lower boost pressure, but that's ok because the air is cooler! (cooler air is denser)

I did not add any extra piping and my tune gave me great results. In terms of performance, throw a dart at a dart board.

Each have differences, but realistically perform the same (imo) I would be curious to see a dyno run on the same dyno, with the same car, and then see what's different.... I doubt it will be much, if anything.
