I recently installed HKS intercooler and pipes. I guess I'm just into HKS for some reason lol.

Anyway, driving around I do feel that I get boost faster, but it could be all in my head. This mod probably wasn't even necessary...just bored during COVID-19.

Install was easy of course. I had to sell my 27won pipes as they were too small to fit on HKS' bigger diameter piping on the hot side of intercooler.

On the left you can see the HKS stamped lettering on the hot side of the intercooler when looking through the opening of the foglight grill..hard to get a pic of that though.

Did you have to make any cuts or modifications in order to fit? I should be getting mine in the next weeks.

Just installed the HKS intercooler. Switched out my PERRIN intercooler with HKS charge pipes for it. I was surprised to see how much more the temps fluctuate. I can see the intercooler heating up much quicker but dispersing heat very fast too. My PERRIN seemed to hold cool temps much longer but took longer to cool down as well. I can see the HKS cooling down mid pull. The only negative is that I can tell the HKS is much more delicate and prone to damage. When I pulled the PERRIN I was amazed that it other than chips to the logo I painted on, the fins were in really good shape. The HKS arrived with a few bent fins and when straightening them I could see how soft they were.

I always forget...which iat is the intercooler.

Sucks yours came a tad bent in in the fins. I guess I was lucky...it was packaged really good.

It was only a few luckily or I would have sent it back. Really want the HKS intake now, but man is that thing pricey with the box.

Nice guys. I’m installing my hks intercooler once I receive the PRL charge pipes. ETA one week. Btw I’m selling my hks charge pipes.

also, I’m currently running the mishimoto intake and plan to chang it to the PRL HVi. What’s the benefit of the hks intake since it’s so expensive?
