Injen looking to make intake for 2.0L NA Civic

I prefer the heat shield design. Even on the hottest summer days in south LA, IAT's never get more than 5* above ambient temps with my AEM. I seriously doubt that would be the case with the Injen, being how open the shield is.

I'd bet that both flow equally well, maybe a slight edge to the Injen since it has an expansion chamber, but it's still a piece of pipe with roughly the same length, diameter, and number of bends.
So does the car have a higher risk of overheating with the Injen intake?

Not at all. I was referring to IAT= Intake Air Temperature.

The cooler the incoming air, the more power you will have while preventing knock/detonation.

Intakes that draw in hot engine bay air can see IAT's as high as 40* above ambient. That kind of heat actually reduces power, even though the intake is less restrictive.

I'm waiting for the prices to go down ... Both prices for aem and injen is way too much at $270 and $273
