Everytime when I was on my phone and I switched off the car, since the head unit would turn off, the Bluetooth would turn off as well. Is there a setting to keep the head unit on when power down?

In my old Mercedes, the radio would remained on until I open the door, same in my friend’s Mazda 3.

If you have an automatic, shifting to N will keep the radio going if you shut off the engine.

No (legal) way around that AFAIK. Annoying as hell, but...
Maybe something like a KTuner can make that happen somehow?

Not sure if this is a legal matter.
The head unit of my 12-years old MB and my friend's new Mazda 3 would stay on until the door is opened.

I wasn't saying it would be illegal for Honda to do it. :)
By "legal" I meant "without messing up your warranty", i.e. other than hacking it somehow. (If that's even possible.)

OK. I thought you meant some special local regulations.

I talked to my friend who drives a Mazda 3. His head unit would shut off after one of the front doors is open. he has a lower trim and the car did not come with Andriod Auto and Apple Carplay. His 14-year old hacked the head unit and now he has both features! Amazing......

Doesn't matter what your Benz and your friend's Mazda do. All of my Hondas turned off their radios when you turned the key off.

Yeah but with the key, you can only shut off the engine (i.e. not yet turn it all the way to the 'off' position), leaving the power (and radio, etc.) on.

In the 10th gens with the 'Start' button, there is simply no way to do that -- "off" means "everything off".

Why on earth wouldn't they just have a turn-switch instead of a button (i.e. acting like the key -- but without the key)?! :nono:

This is quite inconvenient. I will have to remember to switch to speaker phone before I turn off the engine.
