This is a question for the early GenX Civic owners.
Was there ever any software update to the Infotainment?

I’m wondering myself lately I’ve been getting random black screen crashes/restarts. Sometimes on Apple maps or pandora and the music will just stop the screen will turn black and after few seconds go back to the apps screen. Anyone familiar with this issue and if a software update exists?

Same here!! They need to at least patch this damn thing lol. Would be nice if you could do it through the HondaLink app as well.

Or maybe dealer updates.
Not even map updates?

Had mine back at the dealer last week for a it's first oil change, to fix the front grille which wasn't lined up, and to fix a rattle in the headliner (new headliner on order) and asked them to check if there was a software update for this same issue.
There isn't.

I took ownership of my 2016 Touring in July 2016 and there have not been any updates since. There have been rumbling of one on this board and others but with every passing day I get less and less optimistic we will ever see one which is REALLY disappointing, to say the least

I believe there was a map update, if I'm not mistaken. Could swear I

You managed to get your headliner replaced? Hah, I think everyone is complaining about rattles in the headliner. Let us know how that works out.

Is there somewhere we can find the version number of the software?
Maybe some members here can help to provide the software versions so we can compare.

I wasn’t having tons of issues with infotainment beeping. There was a software update installed earlier this year that fixed the issue. It has been much more stable since that update.

How was the update implemented? By the dealership?

I have a 2017 EX-T that was built in may. I've had it for 3 weeks now. Not a single issue with my infotainment so far. It is a little slow at times but everything has worked with no lockups or reboots. I hope it stays that way.

Yes. I complained and they tried one update and it still didn't work. Took it back and that week there was a brand new update and they applied it. This one did the trick. I think it was fixed at the end of June.

Is there a version number that you can provide?
