After having both Michelin HydroEdge and Michelin Defenders on my 7thGen Civic, I have to agree. Great in three and a half seasons (reasonable in snow, but not the equivalent of dedicated snow tires), handles great wet or dry, rated to 90,000 miles...They'll be my go to. Continental has a few models that are also worth a look.I'm switching to Michelin Defenders or Goodyear Comfortred Touring.
The Firestones have been okay for current driving, but it's clear their lateral grip isn't even close to a match for quality all-season performance radials.
