Y'all do know, America won't be here in 50 years. Does anyone give AF? Pretty much I've given up on America, Will definitely wait for the next Civil War. Politicains are FUKING A$$HOLES. Sure is great to see a divided America, all the result of greedy, lying politicians and media as well. Have a great day and hug your loved ones, it could all be gone in a flash.

america is a dangerous place. i left and only thing i miss is the food. but you can keep the politics, the laws and more then anything the people. i can not stand americans and their love of everything un-intellegent. and worse is the people who feel they have some level of education and then refuse to listen to facts, science or the truth

I'm 41 now, and I spent 4 years in the Army, 3 in the National Guard, and the last 15 in a city police department. There is definitely reason for negativity. Blatantly obvious for all to see. There is also no place better on earth for freedom- there might be places that are more peaceful, more friendly, although I'd argue that America still has plenty of those once you get out of the big cities, and the same goes for the ridiculous increase in cost of living.

Show me a place where the people have more ability to push back against government gone wrong. Look at the so called hate speech laws in Scotland lately, look at the migrant spawned crime rates in western Europe, look at the eternal violence in the Middle East, and tell me where the public at large has a better shot at fixing it.

I think we're going to see mass deportations in the next decade, and a reawakening of American history and culture. Best way to make that second part happen is to read enough to teach your kids how good we have it, and how much we owe it to everyone who went before us to keep it.

Society has become too soft, too sensitive. Comedians can't even be as funny and as REAL as they were ten years ago.

Not only illegals are the problem, but the dems who prefer the socialist ways; "pay for my insurance", "pay for my student loans", "control rent increases".....

We are also moving to Canada. Seems to be a wise choice. I've already looked through the info about moving companies in Canada https://maplemoves.com/ and I think we will move within the next 3-4 months. I noticed that a lot of people also choose exactly Canada for retirement because this country has a slightly lower cost of living and publicly funded universal healthcare compared to the USA.
Yeah, Universal Heath Care was high on my list of reasons.

ISFA as cost of living goes though, one glaring exception is the cost of housing is much higher here in Canada. Most/many other cost are in proportion to higher average wages in Canada and the exchange rate.

It's not an easy thing to do however. Many people think USA citizens can just 'waltz in' to Canada and take up residence. (Not saying you think that, however it's a common misconception.) When in reality, the qualifiers are rather steep. Bottom line - do your homework, eh.

It’s clear that many have lost trust in the whole system, especially when you see how the border situation is being handled. On the topic of immigration, I came across an article that explains what can trigger ICE I-9 audits — might be useful for anyone still following this topic.

No, I stay out of their hood. They don't come into my part of the suburbs.
It's funny. I retired last November and moved from Illinois to Oklahoma. After living for nearly the last 8 years in a small town of 4,000, I now live in a town of about 30,000. And although we are renting a newer house, it's in a very poor neighborhood. They basically tear down the old ones and replace them with new ones. There are still some abandoned ones around.
Anyways, there are mostly black and Mexicans around here. Everyone I've met have been the nicest they could be, very friendly and welcoming. It's been a nice surprise.
