If you were going to sell your Type R for an SUV, which would you consider?

I would love a Macan GTS. There is something about the KIA Telluride that gets me. I also would take a 4Runner or nicely used FJ Cruiser.

I'm considering a BMW X3 M40i. I've heard great things about this car. Porsche Macan sounds nice as well.

If I ever sold my CTR I would buy a new RDX A-Spec black with red interior.

Thinking about what I'd replace my 4runner with down the road, it's tough....between a new 6spd tacoma trd pro, a new 4runner trd pro, or a used lexus GX 460. Would also go for a super clean 100 series land cruiser if I can find a good one.

Keep going back and forth as each has it's advantages over the other. Enjoy threads like these as it reignites my internal debate on which toyota would be best.

BMW X3M competition (with all seasons lol) ... S58 is the talk of the street these days. JB4 and Downpipe on E85 mix yields incredible gains! You have AWD to get you through the mudslide rains and arctic winters... you have cargo space of an SUV... you can go 0 - 60 in the 3's (stock) and roll race binge across the nation while the wife has her grocery gett'n family road tripp'n coast cruising luxuriously armored chariot! ;) The perfect compromise!

I test drove an X3 M40 last weekend. Good looking. Very quick. Car is for my wife and it felt similar to her older X5. The engine performance of the 40 was not that important. We’ve had a lot of BMW’s over the years and they don’t seem that special anymore. Ultimately, we decided on a Macan. The Macan is $11k or so more than the comparable X3/GLC/Q5.

The M40 is a great choice but it’s around $63k. The X3 30 X drive with the M Sport package looks almost identical to the 40 but has the 4 cylinder and runs about $55k. If it was my dd, I would want the 40…. Would likely have to order either one.
