Here is the optional rainguard. Mine is painted underneath.

Rain guard installed. It fits well. However there isn’t a rubber sealing surface. Imagine some water will leak by in heavy rain if the catch tray gets full. Might look into sourcing a thin sealing material. Assuming the way to remove collected rain water would be to open the hood and let it run off.

The tray is held on by these plastic push clips.

Hood view with rain guard installed. No more ventilation other than the (2) side vents. Those don’t have covers.

would someone kindly share some more
photos of the rain guards please? where does it direct water to? does it still allow ventilation?

That was quick!

kind of a shame it just puddles water instead of draining it elsewhere. I know this is always talked about but I would like to know the effects of having the water run in there with no guard. With the heat I’m sure most would just burn off but it’s also very close to the turbo..

Having washed the car with the rainguard installed, it seems water does run off... I just don’t know where.

Water doesn’t puddle there, so it hasn’t been an issue after a wash.

Can’t wait to see the Red hood when it’s painted up and on. I had to back out of the hood I had on order as shipping to Canada was going to be an issue ??

Looks great brother! Making me regret having the shop paint over the center section... was such a difficult decision at the time, ?. Might follow your lead one day and have some STEK CF wrap applied....

Have it on a couple bits here an there... the center is a great idea :headbang:

Please keep us posted how well it holds up next to the heat coming out of the center vent.

@Jims_CTR

Wrapped the center with cf wrap to go along with the already cf vents. Loving the look!

A question about the side vents, since it doesn't have rain cover, where does the water go through the side vents?
