Wanted to add to this if you guys end up using a spare android device with Torque for gauges and your first thought is I don’t want to have the phone stay on all day and I don’t want I have to turn it back on every time I get into the car there is a solution for that called Auto Sleeper, it turns off screen when power is disconnected from phone aka car shuts off and turns itself back on to the previously open app when power comes back....

I have a spare Android, and it’s only purpose is to be used with an OBDII utility. Thanks for posting this stuff. I haven’t had time to play with Torque Pro or DashCommand on my Si.

I really hope there are some responses about setups so I can get an idea of where to start. My only complaint is that I won’t be able to use it to monitor individual tire pressure.

I can see if I can find anything for tire pressure, if it’s only tire pressure you’re concerned with i know they make A device just for that, comes with 4 Valve stem covers that give you readings.

Also not sure if anyone is interested? If you don’t care to use a android device for gauge readings and would prefer something cleaner looking, more like the scangauge I could work on seeing if I can get codes for IAT and ECT?

Does anyone use OBD Fusion for iOS and have these working? Tried to replicate this but keep getting No Data Returned error when testing.

I also couldn't get dash command to work, only one that has worked is torque pro, not sure why that is.

Maybe I'll find a way to rig up my old Galaxy Note 3 then, I did purchase Torque Pro on my S8+ before going iPhone X

Ya I’m using a Nokia phone and it seems to work fine, even got it programmed to have phone go to sleep and then wake up to gauges as soon as it senses power is connected.

How so? What if the phone battery dies from idle after the car turns off?

OP,
how did you end up changing the units from C on the display to F? Since the PID editor registers it in C, it's not being overriden on the display back to F, even with my options using F as the default temperature unit
