Do you have the DSG or regular manual?

VW has the 2017 GTi's on their website:

http://www.vw.com/models/golf-gti/trims/2017/2017-se-4-door-trim/

The SE package offers a pretty nice punch.
220hp/258tq, torque vectoring (Haldex) front diff, big (Golf R) brakes, adaptive suspension, auto sensing cruise, Fender Stereo, bolstered seats...

meh, I looked at the GTI with the sensing package. Site says order only so I was stuck choosing Autobanh GTI's compared to my similarly equiped EXT I would have had to pay 12k + more for it. While not receiving much in return given I knew I was going to tune both cars so the Civic won out in the Value proposition.

If you're looking for performance forget about these overpriced hot hatches with their cute 4 cylinders. Look for 2009-2012 335i's or 135i's. Buy one from carmax with their extended warranty if you are scared about repair costs. Much better car performance wise for day to day use and fun. For track you will need better tires and suspension unless it's the msport. Can have 2 and a half for the price of one crappy hatch and be at 400+ whp and 450+ wheel torque with a JB4.

Excellent buy if you want an auto

manual at carmax prime for their extended warranty they also have a 13' top of the line IS for 30k

Plan is to hand down my EXT to my wife (and use it for family trips), and find a toy like the 335i msport , s2000, or Audi S4 B5 to hoon and build

Cobalt SS 2010 with the turbo. (horrible torque steer once you pushing 380+ whp) But fast as hell and cheaap!
