I know this seems like a dumb question, but I can’t visually see the turbo.
I do see what looks to be a BOV.
It’s a 2017 civic sport.
It does have a earthdreams turbo badge on the block.
C'mon man...are you for real!!!??????

As someone mentioned you can’t readily see the turbo as it’s under a heat shield. It’s not sitting out in the open like when you look at a custom engine set up.

In the pic below in the red circle is the afore mentioned heat shield. If you look from the left you can see a peek of the turbo.

Guys, I’m interpreting the OP’s question not from the title of this thread but more so the statement from post #1, that he can’t visually see the turbo. I think that’s his real question, not whether or not if the car has a turbo.

turbo one has front mount intercooler behind the front lower grill.. you can also look for the sign of downpipe under the hood, it is under the heat shield that is near where it say earth dreams badge.

I would think the decal on the cam cover that says:"Earthdreams Technology TURBO" would be a dead giveaway, perhaps obvious isn't so obvious anymore.

IMO the easiest way is to drive it and feel the output, Turbo gives a lot more torque even from lower RPM, but NA do it in a linear way, lower RPM isn't as excited as Turbo, you'll see the RPM go up easier and hold the torque high in a turbo...

(Correct me if I'm wrong lol)

An easy way to determine visually if an engine is turbo'd when you can't see the snail is to look for the intercooler. There is one by the radiator. Your sport hatch is definitely turbo'd though.

Actually Honda 4 cylinder NA engines aren't linear at all. They are fairly weak down low and you need to go high rpm for any real oomph.

Easy way to check is to fill the car with diesel instead of gas. If you find yourself iv the side of the road then you have the turbo. This is the only real way to check as the turbo badging on the actual is a fake marketing scheme from Honda.
