Many shops change oil via fluid extractor. Oil through the dipstick, and if the filter is housed up top, no need to waste paid time and a lift to raise the car if you’re getting all the oil out, which you know because you measure what comes out. If the car has a 4 quart capacity, and you evacuate 4 quarts via extractor... then you got everything you should get. Refill and move on.I would never change the oil that way, not sure who would, cause your never going to get nearly as much oil out, as you would by removing the drain plug
I do things properly, not the half assed way
If it’s a good enough process for temperamental European shops, I think it’s fine for a Civic.
