I am in Maryland and pay 700$ every 6 months. This covers my 09 ridgeline, 2019 SI coupe, and a 2016 camping trailer. I am almost 40, female, own a home, clean record.

300/500k coverage with 500$ deductible on the SI and 1000 on the truck. i could remove collision on the truck, but i am afraid of my luck.

I pay $1000 for the entire year with the coverage below. I do have two other cars on the policy so I get multi policy discount as well.

And what happens if you cause more than 100.000 USD damage in an accident?

OK, I see. Thanks. I really didn't know. Just 100k as liability protection sounded... not too much.
You might be right. I am not sure how arbitration works in Germany but around the are where I live, $100K in liability is plenty. I could bump it up to $250K just in case and see how much it will raise my yearly premium. It could very well be worth it.

So. There is an upper limit here too but for property damage and medical costs (of other poeople if you caused the accident) and additional expenses in an average car liability insurance is 10 or 20 million Euros.

Wow, that is a big amount! As you can see from my original post. Bodily harm to a person is covered up to $250K/person and $500K for the entire occurrence/accident. Property damage is separate from bodily injuries and in my case is a max of$100K. 10 to 20 million Euros (and USD equivalent of that) is unheard of here in the states. At least, I have not seen such high coverage for most people.

And... I checked it again it turned out it is even higher:
"Damit du im Schadenfall bestens abgesichert bist, besteht bei der Kfz-Haftpflicht von Allianz Direct Versicherungsschutz bis zu einer Höhe von 100 Millionen Euro je Schaden. Die Deckungssumme bei Personenschäden ist auf 15 Millionen Euro je Schaden begrenzt. "
That basically means that up to 100 mil. Euros is covered per accident, but personal injury is up to 15 mil. Euros / Person covered. Not like there would be practical difference between 15 mil. and 100 mil. I think causing an accident with more than 100k USD damage is possible but uncommon, but I can't even imagine how can one make even 1 mil. Euro property damage... driving into a Pagani dealership?
