I'm at $6,139.91, but $5,096.46 of that is parts I'd buy for any build, including a CTR. ($1,043.45 difference = $576.12 suspension + 440.74 brake + $244.48 cosmetic.) I'm not tallying parts I didn't use, like the Mugen wheels ($1,200) that'll be going on wife's CR-V, or that I've sold, like the stock wheels ($750).

I have $1,500 more planned (cosmetic + CAI + tune) b4 I have to think too hard on going FBO, aka "full retard build", aka "$5-7,500 for fun". (FMIC + FP/DP + turbo inlet + big turbo + clutch.) I'll probably hold off on any of that until after the 11th gen Si specs drop.

Woah I have the same license plate frame as a $100,000 car! :headbang:
Well even more available from me now since I changed again my Hondata Ohio plate of up for grabs. I’m sure you can guess the new one fairly easy. Anyone wanting it would have to buy from me since it’s already issued and registered too. Costs $5 to change over but you’d have to pay personalize extras at renewal. @Drake

Have a 18 civic coupe lx manual I got for 16k put about 2000$ worth into the sound system with a 12” JL sub Rockford fosgate amp lc2i converter blam 165s door speakers Aquity stage two shift kit with throttle pedal spacer. Carpet trunk tray all weather mats swapped some 18” sport wheels on too so in all about 20k i would say
I need to 100% do the sub upgrade. Weight really doesn’t matter once power exceeds the weight to ratio value. Just turn it up like the volume knob. Like the easy button ?

The mids are also crap but tolerable, like Bose plenty of highs no lows.

Just my opinion for a car with a touring package wtf is this audio system. My GT-R rocks and it’s now over 8 years old but only 25k on the odometer and music is only suitable when I am cruising.

I don’t typically place a lot of emphasis on audio when I drive manly listen to movies on Netflix or my thumb drive I’ve seen so the audio is immersive but not distracting from my driving experience as I always have a tv on in the background from my years of audiophile dominance creating the constant ringing in my ears. I’m sure exhausts and engines helped it as well. ?

My original plan for this thread was to allow others to see what everyone has done to get new ideas and the estimated costs around doing so. This isn’t a competitive thread. I want to see the wild to the mildest. You should always be proud of your mods they are like a part of art to me an extension of your personality. I know all too well how expensive this platform can get. So I’m not looking for that but I was on the way up and couldn’t find much on my journey to where I am today. Remember most don’t mod so the more the merrier. Even if it’s all cosmetic this is a show your car any mods and how much has it cost you. Some may have higher expenses based on ability, knowledge or tools etc. Doesn’t mean you aren’t welcome to share.

So if you do a list of complete mod breakdowns an est cost is helpful too for those who may want that particular application (self installed or built and shop installed are very different realities) so labor hours estimate helps too as well as pics obviously. I’m always happy to DM with anyone asking about parts best practices I get some great advice from the people right here in this community.
I have done quite a few things to my car and my build cost breakdown. Just as a side note, the motor mount was on sale at the time and I’m not including tax and shipping and stuff, just the listed price at the time.

Current Mods: $3,046+
($96) Ikon Motorsports Front Grill
($66) Acuity Burnt Titanium Shift Boot Adapter
($90) Acuity Purple Esco T-6 Shift Knob
($124) ProCivic Pro Design Track Style Front Lip
($479) Acuity Stage 3 Short Shifter
($396) PRL Cobra Cold Air Intake (street)
($70) Acuity Shifter Cable Bushings
($97) Acuity Throttle Pedal Spacer
($155) 27won Race Rear Motor Mount
($126) Whiteline 22mm Rear Sway Bar
($113) Whiteline Rear Sway Bar End Links
($31) Unbranded Engine Bay Side Panels
($170) D2 Lowering Springs
($250) PRL Race MAF Conversion Kit
($450) KTuner V1.2
($250) Used RV6 Catless Downpipe
($9) RV6 Downpipe Hardware Kit
($300) Used OEM Catback
(?) Window Tint
(Free) 2x PRL Stickers
(Free) Titanium Exhaust Heat Wrap

Previous Mods: $415+
($62) Mishimoto Carbon Fiber Shift Knob
($45) iJDMTOY Clear Side Marker Lights with Amber LEDs
($135) Raceseng Contour Shift Knob
($10) Delwhel Shift Boot Retainer
($24) Acuity Shift Centering Spring
($29) Acuity Shifter Base Bushings
($40) PRL Intake Hose
($50) K&N Drop in Air Filter
($20) VViViD Vinyl Gloss Black
(?) Muffler and Resonator Delete

Mods Ready to Install: $450
($293) 27won Strut Tower Bar (orange)
($100) Custom Open Front Vents
($20) PRL V1 Battery Tie Down Bracket (black)
($86) Perrin Front License Plate Relocation Bracket
($35) Black Chrome Honda “H” Badges
($16) RV6 Front Pipe Hardware Kit

In total, my car cost just over $4,000 to get it to look, sound, and drive this way. The previous owner did do some other mods too, so I included the prices I could find. I also changed a few things I didn’t like, the vinyl chrome delete didn’t go as planned, I got the titanium heat wrap from a friend who didn’t need it, etc.

Yeah man this system is complete garbage. I did the honda hack with Viper4Android and it definitely helped... it's at least on par with my gf's 2016 EX-L coupe now. Still should be much better though... still can't feel the sub.

Blows my mind the base model sound system is better than the touring.

I’m not gonna do a full mod rundown list, but including the cost of the car I’m closing in on about $60k.
A59DCF30-C81D-435D-B3D3-F1BD3CCFAECD.jpeg
You could run down the biggest mods. 15-20k in mods is easy to get to,

I mean wheels and tires and the CF could get you there with some bolt ons and tuning.

BTW: I love the custom plate.

bought the car in april 2018 for $26k out the door. $12,247 for parts + $800 for tune and dyno time + $1800 for various labor = $14,847 = $40,847. still cheaper than R prices were at the time of purchase. :p

Between our two Si's and our Black Type R we are at about 45-50K CAD in parts alone at our cost ... not including labour replacement parts, fluids or tuning  its an addiction..
