What steps can I take to drive more reasonably? I honestly only get into boost when getting onto the interstate and a short little blip when coming home. I have never hit more than 2-4 psi in 5th or 6th. I've really tried to baby it haha Should I avoid engine braking?
I don't think engine braking causes much slipping. I use engine braking. Just do quick smooth shifts especially if you remove the clutch delay valve. Just keep doing what you are doing. If you still have the CDV in then it will grab the clutch and reduce slipping. I removed mine so quick smooth clutch engagement is up to me.

Short answer, none. Baby it if you want it to last. If you want to drive it hard, it's time for a new one.
