How many Type R has been build??

Hi guys,
I am just wondering, is there any list of how many Type R has been developed in the USA?
I mean 2018 / 2019 / 2020 separately.
What I see by the transmisition in the car R-xxxxxx, I can guess 40 000 of 2020 in the USA?

I read that the number on the plate in our cars is global, not just US.

The number is also not sequential. Meaning they are printed in batches (I think someone said 8000) and dropped into a bin and then pulled at random from that bin. The number is also world-wide and not just the US and is sequential from the first FK8 (2017) and not just 2020.

The number in our cars is global so there are only ~40k FK8 Type R in the world right now. I don't think Honda ever published how many were made for the US market but if the recent fuel pump recall information is something to go off of, 1248 were made for the US between Oct. 03, 2018 - Jun. 10, 2019. If I were to make an estimate based off of that, I would assume there are only ~2k of each model year being made for the US market.

Got mine May 30, serial no. 36144 so maybe 40,000 since 2017 is the target to end of current year 2020 worldwide. Dealer told me 2 cars are assigned to each Canadian dealer who orders them, who wouldn’t? Seen just 2 others (pre 2020) on the road so far.

None of the dealers in my province have 2020 type r's alotted. If you want one, needs to be factory ordered.

Sorry to hear that, what province? Might be months before you see one if ordered today. The day mine came in there were only 2 on the truck and both were pre-sold. All Type R's are made in Swinden UK which is planned to close at end of this year. After that they're
going to be made in the USA.

1248 affected doesn't mean 1248 shipped to the US between 10/3/18 - 6/10/19. The number of affected vehicles is only limited to the ones equipped with fuel pumps made during specific periods, not the entire population.

If you look at the 1000 units of the 2021 LE world allocation (600 US, 400 rest of world), Honda probably sends 60% of the regular CTRs to the US. Based on the current 40### serials floating around, let's say Honda makes 10,000/year, you're looking at at least 6000 units for the US per year.

I've seen a couple of pictures of serial number badges where the numbers were in the very low 47000s.

Then there are the LEs that got their own numbers (1000 of them?)
