i took it to honda honestly because if it is the compressor its covered for 10years. It was 150 for thr doagnostic and my friend who is a service advisor there just said they included it in the diagnostic. Im in florida my ac is cold so its fine i didnt mind the price.

2017 Sport hatchback with 114,000 total miles. I am the third owner of the car and eventually found out that the original CVT transmission was replaced by the first owner under warranty at 12,000 miles. The actual mileage on the transmission is 102,000. No problems and I change the fluid every 30,000 miles, my current driving habits average to about 70% highway / 30% city and the car is driving great

2016 LX sedan, 165,000 miles. I bought it new and change cvt fluid yearly. Still on the original front brakes, pads and all! Put new rear rotors and pads on at 130k miles. 1 front wheel bearing at about 150k miles. AC condenser replaced under bulletin for free at about 160k miles. Been a great car.

Cant believe that replaced the whole tranny for that "Faulty Idler Valve Issue". Mine does this all the time could never find one thread on here on what it was coming
I have a 2017 hatch EX-T
It's got 95,000 mi on it. At around 35,000 had the CVT replaced by warranty due to faulty idler valve issue with grinding noise upon warm startup. It's been fine ever since. It should be noted that I have the phearable 1.5 r tune.
Grinding sound when you pull it out of neutral? did it ever fail or they just replaced it due to sound?

Yes, the whole thing due to sound. Back then if you heard the sound it made, it definitely didn't sound like normal start up. Sent the vid clip to dealer then they sent it to corporate, no questions, they replaced it.
It just turned 98k, Phearable 1.5R 24/ 7, moderate VSA, plenty o pep when the need arises.

I'll have to try and remember to let you know when I hit 90k. Currently sitting at ~87k, just had the CVT fluid replaced (dealer said it was getting close, no records on when it was last done, and I was getting other things done by my mechanic at the same time so figured why not). I've been tuned on Phearable 1.5 since around 78k miles.

yeah sound isn’t too pleasant but I’m willing to deal with it as long as it doesn’t fail me. I’d rather wait and get another 40k out of it before I would go through hassle with getting it replaced all because of a sound. Glad I finally found what exactly was wrong with it though I’ve been posting and researching for ever to find what that noise was. Same thing warm starts and putting it into reverse or drive.

oops,

I have a 2017 Civic EX hatchback w/sensing. Mostly run in eco mode for "smoother" roll during traffic.

Mostly highway miles, but a fair share of it is low speed traffic.

162k and counting. Still solid!

Just hit 50,000 miles in mine.
2020 Hatch Sport CVT.

KTuner v2, custom tune via DRob @ IMW; various mods.

Mixed driving style. Aggressive, multiple autocross days, generally drive it like I stole it. For the past 3 months (Aug - Currently Dec) I have been driving from Buffalo to Rochester NY and back everyday (180 mile round trip), so a lot of highway driving too.

I change my trans fluid every 10k miles, just for preventative maintenance. Overkill? Probably.
