I’ll agree 30k on CVT ( although I have it done at every 20k) but for coolant I changed it at every 20k because of the weather in SWF
the coldest its been here in the winter is 40 degrees ( that’s a heatwave in a New York winter)
2018 civic si coupe, picked up in July 2019 with “around” 3500 miles on it. It’s spent it’s whole life in a garage, it’s my daily and only vehicle currently. (I want to put a integra type r engine in a Crv manual for Utah winters)
I’ll be back in Utah in a week, been living in Texas for the last year, (web developer, took an offer I could not refuse, found out why they pay so much to say the least, and put in my two weeks a few weeks back. I definitely closed container ship my car both ways. Cost me 2600 to do so in total :.)
Gonna miss the 93 octane Texas gas at sea level, I can spin my tires so easy. Feels like I gained 25hp and 30 torque. Only problem is Texas is VERY flat, and I am used to living next to the canyons and twisting roads.
At least the cops don’t pull you over for speeding here, they have other shit to worry about… so excited for those canyon roads again. Maybe I’ll get/make a good intercooler or rig up a spray system for lower air temps. (Been on the fence for Ktuner, for 2 years…. )
just got my oil done, and the oil dilution problem still exists, just not as bad for anyone wondering. It never went above the plastic. In Utah it was going to the metal past the measurements… had to drive to bountiful from Sandy (where I bought my car, so they could monitor, so no Ktuner for me ?)
If I did not live in Texas for the last year, my car would have around 8-9000 miles.
I legit just hit the 10, 000 mile mark last week, I was late to the dentist, totally missed the change over ?
awesome. I hope we keep some low milage vehicles around. I love these cars the coupe Should have been the type R IMO. Would have been perfect.. Maybe one day there will be an easy swap, as the engine fits right in ?;
I still love the current type r, 10th gen, I don’t want to Ktuner, etc…as I do have oil solution issues bad in Utah. livable but it’s always above the line, utah it’s in the metal.
I hope creating a sprayer system for the inter cooler will help! I want to keep everything “stick” or very tasteful.

I know Ktuner, I take, Intercooler etc will make my car a lot faster even at 21 psi max (in high altitude).
