civic si . 8th, and 10th
I was thinkin if anyone had experience with high mile 10th gens yet. at least 100K .I came back to Honda for the reliability. no more German for me. I saw this video below and my goal is for my car to get there. Since Turbo's are kinda new for Honda, what do you guys do to take care of it and hope it lasts longer.

I saw these two videos on youtube, and I want my car to last like there's. What can we do to get to 200K in an SI and 500K in a civic. I had an 8th gen like the first guy, the video makes me miss it :( and I miss the sound.

123,000 miles. I'm on my 3 Rd set of tires, regular oil changes, I've changed the CVT fluid 4 times, flushed the coolant, flushed the brake fluid all scheduledmaintenance, no drive train issues. I drive 334 mile round trip 5-6 days a week roughly 80k a year and I plan to drive it as long as I can.

A few guys on the FB group have 120k+ with no issues other than just regular fluid changes, brakes, tire rotations, etc. No reported issues with turbo or anything major for that matter.

Dayum 120k already? I can imagine their daily life is something like eat - sleep - drive - repeat.

These turbos are built to go 260K+. My Mazda went almost 200K on the original clutch, turbo and motor.

Change the oil as recommended; keep an eye on the level. And the turbo will likely outlast the motor.
Wow thats saying a lot for a mazda.

I had to search for this thread, since all the talk about fuel dilution and longevity of the 1.5T. I'm surprised there weren't many comments on this thread. Surely, some of us are getting up there on the odometer.
I'm over 64,000 miles, 80% highway, 1yr. 8 months, haven't had the dilution update, still running strong. Just got original rubber replaced, on the original pads, regular maintenance done. No problems and recently got Ktuner.
Any high mileage Civic owners, share you experience.

Edit: I dont have an Si, but this should include all 1.5T's.

Really looking forward to following this thread. My dad, who raced Porsche's my entire childhood, just keeps telling me to let the engine run for about a minute before shutting it off to help preserve the turbo. Other than that, he really admires the quality of my Si, especially for the money.

I know there are a few people on this forum who are over 90,000 miles with the 1.5T and have been trouble free. The rumors of the 1.5T demise have been greatly over exagerrated.

“The rumors of the 1.5T demise have been greatly over exaggerated,”

As are most things on the internet.

I hit 95k a little after 3 years. Last week the battery died, but was because of bad alternator. Can see my post here. I did 2 tranny flushes, brake flush, coolant flush, ngk plugs, high performance rotors and pads, rear torque mount. Mobil 1 & k&n every 7k. New set of Yokohama 740aa rating, 90k. Run nothing but 93 in it.
I clean the MAF with crc and did the intake cleanse with turbo safe crc. Can still pull off 45-50 mpg when babied, but definitely notice power loss from the new days when it would hit 100 real quick.

That being said, do you guy think a flash pro will be okay at 100k miles? That question brought me to this page. I don’t wanna blow my engine but want that new car power back.

Just hit 32,000 on my Si, regular oil changes between 4,6k, tire rotations here and there, and all’s been good
