So you've put 1.9 million miles, for an average of 71k miles per year for 27 years on 5 different Civics? Hmm.

Anyhow:
The 2018 is the first one I bought brand New...the others were bought used. Those are the
kms are where I sold them at. All still running strong.

Kilometers in Canada.

I've had 5 civics and an Integra.
Ah indeed on the km thing. Still an insanely high number miles ~120 / day, on highly modded Civics in some cases to boot. Struck me as quite unusual. Would love the additional context.

1st one. Too bad I finally hop to a civic and find out it has some quality issues compared to previous years. Pretty sure I'm cursed.

As much as I complain about the soft paint, thin sheet metal and big panels gaps, these are still great cars. I do believe my made in Japan Hondas were built a bit better but good paint was never a Honda attribute.

Overall, the 10th gen Civics are best in class. Try getting this combination of roominess, comfort, handling, and overall driveability anywhere else at this price point.

3 counting my 1995 del sol si, and this is the last. Too much issues and honda tech are not skilled enough to diagnose or repair.

1. 2011 Civic Sport EU Hatch, 1.8 R18A2, Manual, Ionized Bronze, (alcantara front and rear seats), the car is still in the family with about 240.000km in the odometer.

Also had a 2001 Acura 1.7 EL, only available in Canada, it was very similar to the 7th gen Civic, with slight different front and rear sheet metal, and more luxury touches in the interior.

In between that and my current Civic, I had a 2006 Acura TSX. Always been in the Honda family.

I liked that too. It was also very rare. I think I've seen maybe four or five other civics in that color in the last 6 years.

@Darkmatter what context are you looking for? I’d be happy to answer any questions you have.

I drive around 45k kms per year. I’ve got 96k kms on my 2 year old 2018 Si

Three.

5th gen LX sedan
6th gen EX coupe
10th gen Sport Sedan

(Four Honda cars overall, plus a motorcycle. The above, plus a 6th gen Accord LX sedan, and a 2017 CRF250L that I supermoto'd.)

Three, traded a 1993 3000GT for a 94 Civic Coupe DX, traded that for a 240sx, went through a drifting/Nissan phase, then back to a 98 Civic EX coupe, sold that when I joined the military. Owned a few Subarus while stationed up north, and bought a 2001 Tundra when I moved home. Sold that for what I paid 5 years ago, just picked up my 2020 LX Hatch in March, and do not miss the truck whatsoever. Really impressed with what you get for the price with this vehicle.

Don't care about any of that I want reliability. That's why I thought Honda was a good bet. Only to be met with piss poor brakes, prematurely rusting shock towers, questionable infotainment and periodic BCM/door lock failure, probable bad AC.

Not a great start. The 2.0 and 6 spd seem fine so far but I'm highly questionable on the rest of the car right now.
