I've had mine for almost 4 months, with about 3,500 miles. When I usually drive to work (50 miles one way) I'm lucky if I get 30 mpg average.
You have a lot of hilly roads around Pittsburgh as well, which doesn’t help.

I haven’t reset trip odometer A since I bought the car.
I’m at 39mpg average for every trip since July 2018 all year and all weather conditions.
Pretty damn good mileage. Just FYI that is not a lifetime figure. The car does not keep all data, it purges data after some time, maybe after a few tanks of fuel.

I get about 32-34 in the summer as long as I'm doing mixed highway/city driving. In the winter/colder weather it drops to low 30s/29ish.

Also have been doing mostly city lately and driving a little more spirited so getting more like 25.

Overall I'm happy cause my last SUV got like 15-20 at best.

Can you elaborate on this? Never heard about anything to this effect.

Same here.
My car shows average mileage for trip odometer right at the top... consumption has steadily decreased as time marches on.
Holding steady at 6.1L/100km since June 2020.

I’ve gotten 42mpg to a tank before babying the most out of it, not going over 60, and taking advantage of hills.

It is a rolling average. Not sure how else to elaborate sorry. I did some math on it a few years ago and it was around 1500 miles of data that was averaged. The computer does not have infinite storage, at some point it has to purge data.

Been averaging between 40 and 42mpg(5.6-5.9L/100km) since new. Got about 58000 km now, driving is 80% highway doing 118km/h, on ktuner dual tune running either 15psi or 21 when I feel like having fun, mostly on the eco tune though. 5.9 is for winter driving when I warm up the car for 5-10 min before a drive. I drive about 160-170 km per day. I have not seen anything under 38 mpg(6.5L) since i got the car, even when I was using the 21 psi tune a lot. This car is more economical than my '14 corolla CVT lol and with about 100hp more to boot. Gotta love it.

I just wanted to know whether you have any specific knowledge of this, or you just figured it out by yourself.

It seems you figured it by yourself, and you are wrong. There is no need to store any data. The only data needed is the current average and the new current trip or tank mpg data point.

For example, if you have currently 11,456 miles on trip A with cummulative gas mileage of 33.5 mpg, and you just made a new trip of 12 miles at 25.5 mpg, you can calculate easily the new cumulative mpg at 11,468 miles. All is needed is normal floating point arithmetic since total mileage would never exceed just 6 digits, so this can be done forever.

So there no need for any rolling average or storing any data beyond the current gas mileage. If trip A says 50,000 miles, its mpg is over all 50,000 miles, no matter how many tanks or trips it took. If you don't reset trip A, this calculator can keep an accurate average mileage over trip A from the moment you bought the car until junkyard.

Driving the 1.5 CVT. On the 17,000 miles I drove with that car, I have an average mpg of 37.63

My worst mpg was 17 and my best was 50 mpg.
