I don't spend much on my car. 20 bucks here, 50 bucks there. I am saving 500 a month to eventually buy my wife a new Odyssey. The 2021's are looking pretty sweet. But her 2009 refuses to die. In fact, it's had ZERO issues in 11 years!!! Wow, honda! Sorry that was a bit off topic. I'm a hydrologist for the government.

I fund my build through my occupation: complaint specialist.

i haven’t done any extensive mods, as I do have a savings account set aside for mods for the day I pay off my car (Tune, FBO, wheels). It’s hard being patient, so the few things I have purchased, I have paid off instantly or I’ve depleted my savings stash for it.

Started modding slowly but opened my own parts store eventually so I could fund the purchase and test all the parts, offer what I'm satisfied with, and repeat cycle :)

I’m a manager in an accounting firm. Money for mods comes from the paycheck. My wife and I also have a setup like a previous poster where we each get to spend $100 per month without judgment. Just keep on saving my “allowance” until I have enough for the mod I want.

Nude modeling. Pays very well.

Seriously though, I figure if the $$ I spend puts a smile on my face, it's worth it. I've had a hard time finding happy since my wife died.

welder/fitter but they have trained me to run the cnc plasma cutter and the guy that taught me quit shortly after. so being the only guy in the shop able to run it pays well enough to afford parts.
