Got rev hang disabled and it helps me shift smoother aside from the bucking from releasing throttle.

this is especially painful during traffic and ive tried releasing throttle very slow but i still feel bucking.

don't treat the clutch like an on & off switch, slowly disengage clutch, rev match, etc.

youtube helps
i was talking more about the throttle pedal. When you release the pedal, the car bucks with rev hang disabled. I was wondering if theres a way to reduce this so passengers have a smoother ride

I know what you mean! does it ever backfire like a loud BOOM?
nah not really. Just jerks because the throttle closes when lifting off the accelerator pedal with rev hang disabled.

Turn on rev hang during stop and go traffic via cruise control button. I do that all the time.

The padding options are adjustable for SI and non-SI ECUs.

It’s just like was stated, gotta be a little less deliberate with your clutch. The synchros will help, but rev hang is there specifically to reduce the jerky ride as well as promoting better emissions (fuel economy).

I would suggest looking into double clutching as that should smooth things out quite a lot too.

i believe this option is currently only for SI cars. I have a non-si
In your case I would just turn cruise control on (this "disables the disable") any time you want to smooth it out.

Depress clutch when letting go of gas at low speeds. Slip clutch as traffic moves. It won't kill your clutch to let it out a whole second slower and twice as often when going through traffic. That's just my advice and it works great for me.

Practice feathering the throttle better if you need to, and try to learn the gear/rpm curve the car bucks in if you let go.

This won't eliminate the sensation completely but from there it will vary based on motor mounts.. OEM are sloppy but might be easier to manage, where my original 27Won mount is stiff as can be and took a lot of learning.

Also re-enabling rev hang like people have mentioned.

I just engage the clutch a tad bit before releasing the throttle.

Like others have stated.. you need to work on your clutch/gas timing..
