I'm moving into an apartment with a real tight parking lot situation. It's a big apartment complex, and I actually saw a Type R a block away, but I am just trying to prevent a possible scratch or dent that may inevitably happen over the course of the year.

Anyone have any tips like a dash cam, 3M film wrap from scratches, posting a camera on the outside on my apt pointing at my car, or what are your tips for this?

They make clear wraps to protect the entire car - seen a few on YouTube.

Also, there's car door edge guards. I've seen a few civics with installed ones. Idk if they are Honda OEM or aftermarket, plus they're color matched

Dashcams have motion and vibration activation, but unless you want to install 4 to cover your car entirely, idk if it's worth the investment. Plus, they're notorious for draining batteries

You find an end spot with a curb and hug it. Or you find a spot that is undesirable where nobody likes to park for whatever reason and you own that bitch.

Park backwards, stay as even between the lines as you can, and always park in the same spot if you can. Eventually neighbors start to respect that you like to park in that one spot.

It’s not full-proof. People will still be careless. Next apartment find a place that offers a garage.

Yeah I would get a dash cam, park backwards and maybe get the door guards like the included picture on the side of your car. Also folding in the mirrors after parking is a good idea.

I also learned to live with it and I also learned to climb into to car over the passenger seat ?

I've already posted those in another thread, but I think they fit here as well:

If it is possible, you can reframe your thoughts about scratches and see them as "beauty marks". As some have opined, it is after all a vehicle to transport us and secondarily, for some, to enjoy as a fine piece of machinery.

I'd have expected the Mercedes to be a BMW, parking like that!

I tend to par a little bit closer to the car that the passenger side faces me. I know the car will have a driver but maybe not a passenger.
