We offer a very strong shortblock build for under $4,000. It includes:

- New bare block & crankshaft from Honda
- Saenz Rods (high end, not the cheaper ones they sell)
- JE Pistons
- Cylinder Support System
- Bore, Hone, Jetwash, Micropolish, and Assembly of Shortblock
- Balance of all components
- ARP Head Stud Kit

Depend on where you source your block and crankshaft, and what exact components you select, it could be done for less. The head can be upgraded, but options are limited, and it has not proved "necessary" at this point. You'll spend a bit on gaskets and fluids, but nothing crazy. Labor to install everything would not be terrible. You could build a very nice engine (head included) and have it installed for under $10,000. DIY for much less.

The most important component is going to be the rods. Special machining to notch the block is required for all currently available aftermarket rods. Most upgrade the pistons while you are in there. The rest of it is nice to do, but not "necessary". Most people would rather spend the money and do it all right the first time, so they aren't opening it back up later, but there are ways to save money if needed.
when did this start?

How much power you think or know a stock block can handle ?? If you don't mind sharing your knowledge
There is not really a good answer for that and I could not really put a specific number on it.

The first one went out earlier this year. We have done several in the time since.

Going to have to eat some of my words here. Our cost on the JE Pistons and some of the machine work has increased. We are no longer able to sell this particular build for under $4,000. For any that are interested, we do have it listed on our website now:

Generally stock turbo up to 280whp and 27won 330whp. How long it can handle that power is a whole other question that can’t really be answered. Also giant turbo kits will let you push up to 500(maperformance) but that’s a dedicated drag car with no daily driving. Also different dynos/conditions will give you different numbers so specific numbers aren’t really important

Depends on where you take it. The block needs to be knotched for aftermarket rods

@kshawn can probably answer this best, but it would probably be cheaper and save you time to buy an already built block from Two Step Performance

@amirza786 is correct. Tsp is a fantastic option. You're getting professional assembly and a warranty too.

Is that for upgrading internals or buying and installing the already built block?

Money can be saved by also knowing what your goal is. You can go with cheaper rod options and no cylinder support. You're still going to have a 500hp motor. Sending your block in is also a way to save.
