Hahaha, I asked the same question but deleted it since I figured it out.

On PenFed, it said those payments were based off of a $25k loan.
Crap, I didn't notice the $25,000...my apologies. This is based on $38K
36month $1080
48month $824
60month $674

Agreed I hate car payments & any kind of interest.. but this is just me .. to each there own.
I agree, but after buying most of my cars with cash, an engine for the GT3, and a lake house, not going to dip into anymore savings, in case something comes up we NEED to drop some cash on. Also, can always use a little bump in the credit rating.

I'm of the belief that if I can't afford to buy a depreciating asset outright, I can't afford to buy it*.

*Unless the interest rate is lower than the risk-free rate of return to the point where I can finance it and invest the cash and still have the NPV be positive.

Do you already know the final price that you are going to pay? Just curious, as I was going to go through a local credit union.
I don't know the full amount but the check is good for more than what I will pay. Unless they decide to hit me with a 10k ADM.

I'm putting down 8k and financing the rest through a local FDCU. 2.9% 66 or 72 months. I'll pay it off early....
