Hondata or Ktuner

Hello all. I have rejoined the honda family. Just obtained a 2018 Civic hatch with the 1.5L Turbo. I plan on exhaust, downpipe, CAI and a larger intercooler in the near future. Would you recomend Hondata or Ktuner 2.0 for my application? It is the CVT version. I am not in California.

Any advice is appreciated. This was my baby for 14 years

Haven't used Hondata but I have nothing but good things to say about KTuner. Really happy with the product and the support, J.R. is a super smart guy.

There’s a HUGE thread about the ongoing Ktuner vs Hondata war. I have a Ktuner 1.2 because it’s the cheapest and I have a laptop for it. Their 21 psi base map is incredible compared to stock.

I've had both Ktuner and Hondata. For us non-Type R guys, Ktuner offers a better and regularly updated feature set. Highly recommended.

TSP stage 1 is a great tune. If you're getting a V2 you may as well get the tune for free.

Is there really a need for the ktuner 2.0 over the 1.2 other than the screen? Is the 2.0 worth the extra 200?

Took ya'lls advice and ordered the TSP stage 1 ktuner from those guys. What a great group of individuals over at tsp. Before and after video coming soon! Will be ordering a cobra CAI, prl downpipe, and new exhaust in the next few days. Think I can hit 250 whp on a tune? And thank you all for the great info!

Wasting no time! Beauty. 250 whp and all the extra torque may be pushing it given the CVT, but regardless she'll still be quick and a blast to drive!

Im using ktuner since 500miles now my car has 32kmiles!! Nothing is broken yet. But i my oil change every 60% of oil life.and 91+octane gas since..

Ya'll are a great bunch. Im an old Honda guy, see the pic above of my old 2003 EX I had modded to heck and back. She was NA and pushing 280 hp. I'm ex Army, 46 now, and I still want to race everything I see lol. The wife laughs at me, everytime I watch any of the F&F movies (RIP Paul) it's even worse!
