I was wondering if anyone had experience with a base map remap for a fully stock base model hatch (2018 lx 1.5t CVT) or something similar. Was looking to do something around 3-6 psi boost, nothing crazy. How will this affect my engine long term? I know that I would have to run 91+ gas which is fine but I was worried that I would bend/break a piston or break some engine internals. If I were to do such a remap, what should I upgrade on my car so it can safely handle the extra power?

From what I understand, and have read on the forum, base maps tend to be safe. As far as long term, any extra stress on the motor/trans will equate to more wear and tear, and give less longevity... but if you’re somewhat conservative, won’t make that much difference, but it’s really too early to tell what the long term effects will truly be.
