So I'm finally doing my own maintenance again since my warranty is over.
Did engine oil ,filter, front and rear brake pads and discs ( used Brembo for all) and changed the brake oil with Ravenol brake oil. Installed Stahlbus brake bleeders everywhere which made it very easy to change the oil and bleed the brakes( and clutch).
I took a oil sample of the drained oil and send it to get analysed and maybe see how much oil dilution there is.I used Mobil 1 0w30 ESP LV engine oil and Blue print oil filter .I also installed Dimple Magnetic drain plugs and will do transmission oil a other time.I will be testing the Ravenol MTF 2 transmission oil then.

I installed my type r RMM with my own pu rubber inserts .Interesting was that my oem RMM allready was a aluminium piece and looks very similar to the SI RMm.
As of now I have vibration when starting the car and reversing or starting to drive it.While driving it doesn't vibrate anymore.I will drive around a few weeks to see if it get less.If not I will remove the insert. My insert only is shore 60A.Those who use the perrin 70A or whiteline 90A must have a lot more vibrations..??

Just use the typeR rmm without the insert. Zero vibration and enough rigidity on the gearbox

Been using it a week now but the vibrations remain .I will remove the insert when I'm changing my transmission oil.
I thought it will be less with the insert .

I used the 27won "street" for a couple weeks... totally unbearable 😫
Makes me wonder how people can even start their engine with "race" ...
TypeR is just perfect for me.

My old 6thgen civic had hardrace engine mounts and lower torque mounts ( entire car had hardrace bushings) and that had even less vibration then my 10th gen .😄
I am (we are ) getting old I guess...🤣

So I did some more maintenance ,changed out the transmission fluid and spark plugs.
I removed the insert from the Type R RMM and it's much better now.
The ravenol MTF 2 transmission oil drives great ,smoother then the honda mtf imo.
I also installed the Dimple magnetic oil drain plug which is really strong.
I bought and made some new tools. The long bgs spark plug socket really came in handy to change out the spark plugs ,Its magnetic and 1 piece .
I checked the spark plug gap before installing them and they where all in spec (0.75mm).
The old spark plug gap that came out of the engine was a little loose on the 0.75mm feeler gauge so i think those were 0.8mm by wear.
Also 3d printed a funnel to pour in the transmission oil without removing the airbox.

When i changed out my last oil i also took a oil sample and shipped it to Oelcheck.de to get analyzed .This was with the oem 0w20 honda 2.0 oil .
The results came in yesterday and the lab guys said the wear metals where normal but the fuel content was high (4%) and needed to look into it .
I'm glad i can do my own maintenance now and pushed the dealer to change out the oil earlier then their recomended 20000km .
I really need to install my Ktuner and at least run the dual starter map to get those fuel trims in spec .The oem fuel trims are too rich and most likely the cause of the oil dillution imo. What do you guys think about this?

So i was looking into buying some lowering springs which needs to have the right papers in order to get them validated for annual inspection in my country. The only choices i had was Eibach , ST or H&R springs .
After a while i wanted to buy them and almost all manufacturers stopped making them only H&R still did make them.

Then i stumbled upon a used ST X coilover set and i decided to get that one .At first sights the set looked to be ok and was only used for 1 year. The guy selling the coilovers had a 'shop' which installs coilovers which where all "slammed " .At that point i was having trust issues with the seller as the rear helper springs where not in the pictures and afterwards looked to be not used. There was also missing some adaptor rings of the front springs .This all got me thinking they where removed in order to get the car even lower and give it the "slammed" look.
I decided to get them and inspect them as good as i can ,testing the shocks for leaks ....

After i bought them and got home i was going to clean everything ,then i stumbled upon this.

The guy grinded off the locking tab most likely to lower it even more  .

I was pist and the guy even dared to say i did this and it wasn't like that when he used them.

Since i got these cheap and the shocks where still good i decided to get them back as good as i can get them.
The rear shocks also had rust on the lower end the front shocks also where allready rusting.
So i removed the paint and rust and bought some chemicals to diy zinc plating .
I used a Zinc/nikkel plating solution because nikkel gives a much higher rust protection then zinc .
I ordered the missing spring adapters and some tein coil spring insulators for the front springs.
I made a new Tab and welded it onto the front shock absorber.(carefully).Then got the front shocks zinc/nikkel plated again .I also plated the bottom piece of the rear shocks to give them extra rust protection and afterwords painted it black again.Unfortunatly i forgot to make pictures when they where all done and i installed the coilovers allready.
I need to get the lowering inspected next week for annual inspection and have everything registered .I lowered it 30mm front and rear and camber values where at max of oem specs.I will make some decent pictures of the car next week.
I also been looking into maybe make some offset top mounts to increase the caster by 1degree.
So far the 3d printed test piece seems to fit , but i still need to work out the bushing assembly.

Some new pics.At the moment back on oem wheels because tomorrow I need to get everything inspected .
Still need to install spoiler and smoke turn signals.
Coilovers are now on 35mm of lowering and this is for inspection the max.
I can still lower it 20mm front and rear if I want it to.If I have my 18inch wheels back under the car I can see how they fit and hopefully not scrape the wheel fender.

Car has been approved at annual inspection ,the ST X coilovers are also approved and is registered on paper.(Alignment check etc,...) I still want to improve the handeling of the car as its not yet perfect imo.I have a list of suspension bushings that i like to improve and also change the alignment specs a bit.I will increase the front camber with the stock slotted holes and also increase the caster later on with a custom made top mount which is offset to increase caster 1degree.My brakes also squeal sometimes when the pads touch the brake discs.Did several brake in runs but it doesn't go away.My thought is its because they are cheap brake pads ( brembo oem replacements) .Everything was well lubricated with copper grease .Should of went with the EBC brake pads from the start .I might swap the pads for EBC yellow stuff soon .
And now i really need to get back into the intake stuff because its been laying here gathering dust.😞

Got some new winter wheels on the car.
Borbet LX18 18x8 et 48 with Bridgestone blizzak LM005 235/40r18 tires. These came from a Renault Megane 4 RS.I also coated them with Gyeon Q²rim to see how it holds during winter time.( Ow yeah i also made that wheel detailing stand)
Also time for another oil change and get another oil sample for analysis.I'm hoping the mobil 1 oil holds up well .I'm trying to get the fuel level down this winter with installing the modified SI airbox LTFT will run around 0 instead of -7 -8with the oem airbox.

Did another oil and filter change and got the oil tested again .Same results as last time ,too much fuel in the oil (4.1%) which makes the viscosity decrease also.My 0W30 dropped to a 0w20 .
After the oil change i also installed my modified oem SI airbox which makes my LTFT run around 0%.
With my Oem airbox the LTFT are always around -7 -8% ,i hope this will fix the problem of too much fuel in the oil.If not then i'm just getting the ktuner installed and see if that fixes it.

I drained approx. 3.6L oil out of the car and i only put in 3.5L last time.Add the 4% fuel to 3.5L and it comes out to 3.64L ....
