Has anyone added custom startup videos? I've been searching to see what other people have put but I have not found anything. Show me what you got!

Made some of my own startup trailers. Need to be MP4 files and should be no more than 10-15 seconds max. Save to USB stick and go into Startup menu and select the video file to preview or use.

This took me 10 mins to make using media ripped from youtube. Probably going to make a few more and i'll share them with you guys.

USB Flash stick SHOULD be formatted to FAT32 to work with Honda's Head Unit.

(unless you have specifically leaded in software to enable your Head unit to read NTFS drives .. which is highly unlikely)

I tried selecting and downloaded the Honda Hack's WORLD GLOBE mp3 .. ran very smoothly.. I was quite impressed !!

It's formatted to FAT32. It recognized my APK files for some app installs but it doesn't seem to see the videos that I converted to MP4

I’m a computer geek!

Use Mac to clip in QuickTime, then save as .mp3 and put on flash drive. (Fat32)Keep flash drive in center console slot and then select via file explore in Honda. It’ll be in the selection now in startup video.

Mine is vin diesel saying “smoke him” from f&f 1 cuz lol

What res are you exporting your .mp4 files at? I’m using 16:9 - 1920x1080 for resolution @ 30fps. Also I’m making less than 8sec clips.

why 1920 x 1080 when the Primitive Honda head unit is only High-Resolution WVGA (800x480)

You are just making the head unit do extra work in re-scaling the mp4, resulting in a higher likelihood to stutter and freezing.

Thanks for the heads up. Haven't had any stuttering issues with 1920x1080 res yet. Honestly it was the first res I tried when testing and had no issues with.

i love carbridge- just made an ios 12.4 tutorial for those with iphones! youtube is the bees knees

anyways ill have to redo it for ya tomorrow, it was annoying after a few weeks lol

also eats up cpu
