And another one to add to the list...Autosport Honda in Bridgewater, NJ. After much back and forth, I had the manager tell me that they couldn't even give me the selling price of the vehicle until I came into the showroom since this is a "very limited car" and requires me to talk to their "Type R Specialist" about pricing...HA!!! That's a new one. My hunt continues....

614-202-2368. Text him. The salesman just texted me saying I am next on the list for the Type R. Its BB. Hugh White Honda in Columbus, OH. I already got mine though. I do not know their asking price.

@jincheol are you planning on going 18s on your wheels? I haven't had much luck finding wheels in stock. Seems like all reputable dealers sold out of the popular brands or people waiting on backorder list. I would feel more secure swapping out these OEMs before I accidentally damage a tire or wheel.

I'm hoping to stay with the OEM rims and save money. I'm told altering the tire size to 255-35-20 will remove the risk of damaging the rims. Slightly higher tire wall with 255. Also changing the tread pattern to all weather.

Any reason you're going 255/35/20 over 245/35/20? The latter gives you a nice bump in tire wall size but stays closer to the OEM diameter, which I assume reduces the chance of hurting handling (as the suspension was tuned on the 245/30/20 stock tires).

Iā€™m debating on whether to do this or just getting 18ā€™s and then putting tires on them. You wonā€™t have any rubbing if you put those tires on the OEM wheels?

I only say 255/35/20 because I heard that from someone else. If you are questioning that, I guess I have to spend another restless night scouring the internet debating ideal tire size for the OEM rim.

I've honestly heard good things about both. It's just if you want to reduce how off you are from the OEM setup (for speedo error/suspension tuning reasons), 245/35/20 is the closest you can go above stock while maintaining the 20" wheel. 245/35/19 is about the same diameter as the OEM setup so that would be my ideal combo in 19", which I plan to run on my 19" NSX wheels in the summer.

Just don't see the benefit of pushing it with the 255 when you don't have to as 245/35 should give you enough sidewall while staying as close as possible to the stock size.

Others may disagree. Will be putting on my 245/35/20 AS3+ tires in a few days so can let you know how they feel if you still haven't decided.

Damn, if this wasn't a 10hr drive for me I'd totally take you up on this. Appreciate you trying to help. Short of traveling long distance, my hope is slowly disappearing on trying to get this car in the NJ/PA area for MSRP...

My ctr was bb at msrp from PA. Bobby Rahall Honda in Mechanicsburg. Call them or the other Bobby Rahall Honda locations, College Park, I think. If one dealer will do msrp, chances are the other locations will also.

Isn't keeping the sidewall at 35 the same as the thickness of the oem tire now? What about going 40 instead? Will that work?

I exchanged emails with related family, Graham Rahal who has speed shop up North. Iā€™d heard they tried to tune Type R few years ago. He said they got it figured out about 20 months ago. I didnā€™t know they were successful and was sharing that RaceChip figured out how to optimize it and will release few various hp kits soon. Nice guy, honored he answered quickly.
