Just got off the phone with another dealer that I called. They have a CW coming in. Wanted $10K over MSRP, talked them down to $7,500 over MSRP, said he can probably do $5K over MSRP and asked if I would be willing to do that. I said I need closer to MSRP and I would be willing to buy an HRV as well. Gonna call me back in 30 minutes. Curious what he is gonna come back with.
That's not bad in Socai, which dealer?

This should make for a hilarious conversation...

"Alright, you have a deal! Come pick up your new cars."
"Great, where should I pick them up?"
"At the dealership"
"Ok, which dealership?"

How much are they making off of you for the HRV?

All depends on my trade in and what they want to give me for it.

No idea. I threw out the idea of two sales in one day for them, and the salesman got excited. I'm not gonna overpay for the HRV that's for sure. Type R, if the numbers work I MAY be willing to pay a little over MSRP, but not much. TBH, I am not expecting a deal to be made at all. What I am expecting is a plethora of bullshit back and forth with numbers thrown around and nothing coming of it.

Hey everyone I signed up just to let people in the North East, that Burns Honda in marlton, NJ and Hamilton Honda in Hamilton each have a CTR for what is the lowest markup I've seen in the NY/NJ area, OTD 39599 plus tax. Everywhere else in NJ is a minimum of 10k-20k markup.

The HR-V is one of the lowest markup vehicles on the lots of Honda dealerships. Depending on trim, a dealer makes about $900-$1,100 by selling an HR-V at full MSRP including holdback. Don't expect much of a discount on one. The Accord has the highest markup from invoice to MSRP.

I was shocked how cheap the HRV actually was TBH when I built one for the wife last week. Makes sense there is barely any markup or wiggle room.
