Hello friends,

New here and first post

Yesterday I changed oil in my Honda civic 1.5 turbo, 2018.

By mistake, I poured in 5 litre (instead of recommended 3.5 litre). So far driven car for 2 km only at 35 km speed.

Wondering how to drain oil, I tried with small transparent hose and small hand pump, via dipstick hole, but no success.

I will have to drain oil (around 1.5 litre), what's other options?

Am I really in trouble for having that much excess oil?

First time oil change but didn't went well

Thanks

Definitely would do a partial drain and refill, if needed. Having that much extra is going to most likely cause issues and I wouldn't drive it if you can help it.

Thanks both of you for advising .

I drained out 1.5 litres oil today. Feeling very relaxed and happy now. Next time will be very careful.

Its easy to drain out if you unplug drain valve to just 99.9 percent and hold it tightly off by just 15-20 degree angle. Absolutely no mess and crap.
