The picture showed. I hopped on the comparatively thin panamerica forum and was struck by the post about deteriorating handling and eventual break in half (w pics) when the dealer came to pick it up. It was eventually lemon lawed after a contentious battle.
It looks good, I think the civic will be a better car than this $98,000. mess, probably look better too !
Oh dang! Haha. That makes the choice quite easy then!

Actually, I meant the side-by-side of the Panamera and Civic. The link should be a picture instead. grr.

Sounds like this will definitely be released in Europe first. If it's not getting released there until early 2017 does this mean it will arrive as a 2018 model in North America?

I have seen a few people suggest this; however, Honda has said there would be an '18 month rollout' which pretty much puts the final piece of the puzzle at April 2017. It could be a 2018 model, even that early, so who knows.
I picked up the MDX in May of last year and it's a 2016MY.

I'm a bit concerned, although i understand this is prototype, that the slope and width of the rear window will limit the visibility. it looks pretty narrow straight out, but hopefully the C pillar isn't too thick

It looks like the slope of the A3 hatch/wagon...maybe. Either way, backup camera will be standard.

Ok I'm not trying to say they're the same car or anything, by any means, but I do see some similarities. The angle of the rear glass seems similar - perhaps more vertical on the Civic. The passenger compartment appears to grow out of the wider 'shoulders' of the underlying car. I'm so excited for the reveal!
I don't think so brother, there are many differences !

If its visibvility like the crosstour we are screwed. Bagging the crosstour is the only way to see anything. Honda will give a backup camera and lane watch so that should help some

Word. I don't know about you guys but I don't use the back window that much. I mean side mirrors and rear view are enough for lane changes. How much visibility do we need?

Exactly. This guy has less visibility and is slow!
