Hks full intake kit with AFR ... system too rich

Hi I just installed my full intake system from HKS with the carbon box and afr to trick the maf reading ... but I’m running rich and check engine light coming on. Anyone running this kit ? Got the same problem? Is like 100F degree here maybe that can cause the reading to be wrong and throw a cel?

Umm I double Check the maf look to be correct . Car throwing
p0172 system too rich
P04f0 ... that I’m not sure about , I think Is a EVAP problem

Can it be the purge pump , T fitting , in the instructions to insert the brass fitting in the tube and I did that

Also checked the freeze frame my LTFT is at -16.4

I don’t know, if I need to tune the car I’m going to just use Hondata. Especially if I’m going to adjust fuel... I’m not liking this kit at all. Just my 1 1/2 cents, feel free to throw it in a pond for a wish.

Car needs a tune and that bs maf piggy back gotta go. The tube is larger and its throwing the maf readings off

I could have sworn that it says you need a tune if you get this specific package??? Maybe im wrong but i remember seeing that somewhere

I actually have this same setup and it was fine for about 2 weeks and now I’m getting the exact same code as you the P0172 system too rich. I wonder if it’s because the ambient temperatures have increased since it has been pretty hot out these last couple of days.

hey yea it only happen when is hot out , and when i drive around with the A/C on. but i was able to upload some data to HKS and they working on a solution. thank you for confirming im not going crazy lol

Lol ya too be honest I thought you were crazy or maybe just did a bad install cuz I had no problems then all of a sudden boom I get the same codes just yesterday. It’s funny you mention the ac thing cuz I actually noticed that as well. Anyways keep me posted when hks gets back to you. Also if you don’t mind could you maybe send me the contact info for hks so that I could let them know that I’m having the same exact issue as well and that you aren’t alone. Thanks

Sigh, you guys will deal with goodness knows what kind of black box post signal modification that you’ll never be able to button down but won’t do a proper one like Hondata.

did you ever get this fixed?
im not having the same issue, but im having an issue with my HKS intake. I got the one without the AFR regulators cause I was getting a custom tune anyway, but after the tune I cant cruise on the freeway for more than 10 min without getting p0101 for the MAF. kinda annoying
