This intercooler is now available for purchase in my country. Cost about $950, which considered as affordable from reputable brand. PRL inteecoolee with charge pipe cost $1,338 at the time of posting.

Unfortunately, there is no information if the core is bar & plate or tube & fin. I would get HKS intercooler if it is bar & plate.

Anybody has any idea regarding HKS FK7 intercooler core?

Finally find a detail image of the intercooler. Could anyone please tell if this is bar and plate or tube and fin construction?

Thank you. I thought so, too, but wasn't sure from the image alone. There is no description in HKS website. I could tell if I see the physical product but couldn't tell for sure from the picture.

Are you going to get this intercooler as most of the guys prefer bar & plate intercooler. Do you still have rev9 intercooler?

I still have Rev9. I'd probably get PRL without the charge pipe. I won't go beyond 300 whp so no need for bigger charge pipe. I don't like tube & fin due to its durability because there're so many road debris in my city.

Dont spend on PRL intercooler as stock turbo wont give you 300whp unless you going bigger turbo with FFK.

You don't need 300 whp to need an upgraded intercooler.

I’m not on stock turbo. I’ve upgraded to CAPTS Stage 2 turbo, which has similar spec as TD03. I’m targeting about 300 hp Dastek dyno target, which approx. 270 Dyna Pack hp, probably around 260 Dynojet hp. Rev 9 intercooler heatsoak after the 3rd pull (52 celcius), ECT reached 94 celcius. Temperature during testing was 35 celcius.

This seems to be tub&fin.
But I don't see why bar&plate would be overall better except maybe they are more massive so could be less vulnerable to damage.

woah didnt know u got turbo upgraded again and that make sense, any bigger aftermarket turbo would need PRL or similar big intercooler to support 300+hp.
