Has anyone noticed this product on HKS Thailand's Facebook page?? Looks interesting but I thought blowoff valves were a "no no" for our 1.5 turbos?

They are indeed a no-no on our cars, but companies will keep making them because people that don't research things keep buying them. People think that just because our cars have a turbo it's somehow okay or necessary to have a BOV.

there are two versions of the HKS bov for the 16+ civic - one can be recirculated back to the intake ?
Added cost complexity for literally nothing if recirculated, not even sound would be much different. Custom mount somewhere in the charge pipe. Routing the recirculation tube. What would you do with the stock recirc. valve?

Silly pointless idea.

that is different than being bad for the engine - one day when there are people building their motors it might make more sense

anyways, vent to air bov will cause engine to run rich for a very short period of time when you let off the gas - even less period of time on direct-injected fuel engines and even then you might only have problems if you are still using a catalytic converter

Adds to carbon buildup and washes down cylinder walls no matter what style injection.
