It's not quite the 4th gear lockout, but the only minor snag I've noticed with my 2020 R is this:

Maybe once a week, when I'm downshifting from 5th into 4th, I'll sort of hit the gate between 4th and 6th, where its going in and just stops. It's not the lockout - because when I reduce pressure going into 4th, the sticks just pulls itself into the slot (4th gear). It doesn't happen when I am driving in anger or anything like that - just regular shifts during the commute. Immediately after I do 3-6 shifts using 4th to make sure it's not grinding. No problems with 1st or 2nd gear, or blasting even into 4th from redline in 3rd.

I have a feeling I'm just nicking the gate between 4 and 6, since the ratios are gates are so close. I have 0 intention of brining it into the dealer.

I think I just need to watch myself during lazy downshifts!

I've got 3800 km on the car. 3 rocks chips. Scratch on a wheel too.

try adjusting your clutch master cylinder there are good walkthroughs on here as a first step. I've never hit that or had that happen in my 2019 and I drive it hard.

I'm thinking in the rare chances it happens it might be driver error - not pushing clutch in all the way maybe? No grinds or a real lockout makes me think that.

I'll post back next time it happens

I have this exact issue. I’ve described it as a lockout because it usually takes an inordinate amount of effort to eventually engage 4th. It only happens in lazy low rpm shifts. I’m at 1100 miles and it’s happened 4 times. I’ve taken to just jumping down to 3rd when I encounter resistance going into 4th. I’m terrified to adjust the clutch because 2nd gear is flawless for me. I’ve never had a grind.

Yeah....2nd gear is what truly scares me

I've never had any weirdness going from 6th to 4th - that's odd. I usually just pop the stick into N and then slide into 4th though.

I’ve never had a 6-4 problem as well. I think my problem might stem from my shifting style maybe.

if it gets worse then I’ll bring it into the dealer for diagnosis

I forgot to mention it did happen again today. Only on one shift as usual - although in traffic it wouldn’t go into 4th when I was stationary too. (I was asking for trouble just trying to put it into 4th while waiting in congestion full disclosure)

It’s weird because I have no grinds or other issues. When I get my first oil change I’ll let dealer know.

Again - look up adjust CMC - clutch master cylinder - can be done in your driveway with a flashlight.

Good luck but yeah, shifting issues= try simple stuff first - dealer is the last option imo.
