Hey guys,

You might’ve seen on Instagram a company Hi Rev Sports making Mugen style tail lights for the Type R. They clearly have better functionality than the Mugen tail lights. Has anyone preordered them?

The functionality looks better but knock offs typically don't have the quality or longevity of Mugen.

Good luck!
Thanks man. The Mugen taillights just don’t do it for me. I hate that the functionality isn’t there. I do like that the taillights themselves say Mugen.

just so everyone knows.. you have to run a wire for each tail light from turn signal wire up to where the trunk latch is and down back to the small sequential lights.. and this has to be done on both sides.. essentially a 8 foot wire is needed on both sides to make the sequentials work on each side..

its not plug and play.

kinda ghetto but gotta do what you gotta do right.
Yup I did see the install video. It goes under the black rubber whatchamacallit so it’s incognito.

It’s as close to plug and play that you’re going to get having a second lamp that you want to continue the sequential pattern into. It’s these details that Mugen dropped the ball on. If it’s done right, like it was in the video, it’s a seamless install. And shouldn’t take too long either. Hour with taking your time, tops.
