Hey...bummer but my few month old Civic's wipers have gone nuts. Don't park (I think they never parked all the way), now they only go half way when wiping, freeze in up position when on high until a go from low to high, stop half way u til a switch speedsetc.
Anyone else have this on their new car?
Also, any tips for choosing a dealer to repair since it's under warranty (I'm not in the town I bought it in).
Nervous about gettin hosed by a dealer service dept but it's def a warranty covered issue so why should I pay?
Thanks for any thoughts!!

Sounds like a cut-and-dry warranty replacement, so no dealer should hassle you.

Just call, explain, take it in, get it fixed.

You won't have to pay unless they find strawberry jam on the wiper motor or something.

Thanks!
PS. How did you know about the jam? ;)

The thing I found was the factory wiper blades wore down very quickly. I already had to replace them after 2 weeks as they were streaking badly. I hope this next set lasts longer otherwise I'm getting some aftermarket ones.

This may wind up being a common thing. We warrantied one recently for a guy with a 4 door EX. Doing just about the same thing if I remember correctly.

It's a machine. No machine is perfect. Machines break occasionally.

Get it fixed. Just be happy it will be a warranty repair.
