GRAMLIGHTS 57CR 18X9.5 +38

Choosing the right wheel / tire package is EXHAUSTING! With so many options, it's tough to get it right.

- I'd like to stick with a "gloss black" finish - same as the 20" OEM look. (Feel free to suggest other Gloss Black, lightweight wheels, in this price range)
- Can I use the OEM CTR gloss black center caps with these wheels?
- I need more rubber on the sidewall. Potholes are maddening. Most of you recommend going with an 18" set-up. I'll be fitting 255/40/18 tires as this size looks to be closest to the OEM 245/30/20 size. https://tiresize.com/comparison/
- I'll be running stock suspension. No lowering, etc. I hope that I will not lose too much of the lighting fast turn in and CTR handling characteristics going with the 255/40/18 tire size.
- I imagine the WedsSports +50 offset, close to the +60 OEM/factory CTR offset, may keep handling characteristics closest to original.

- WedsSports weigh just 20.2 pounds (semi-forged? "Advanced Metal Forming")... the Gram Lights 57CR are cast (yes?). I'm not sure what the 57CR weighs.
- WedSports run about $100 more each. $485 vs. $385 ish.

Lug Nut recommendations are appreciated!

Thank you all in advance for your insight..

Forged wheels were not on the poll so I voted Rays for the following reasons:

1. Preferred wheel spec (sizing).
2. Cheaper, therefore money toward a better tire.
3. I couldn't care less about what people have to say about scrub radius on this car ??

That Weds spec doesnā€™t seem too popular here.
Thereā€™s a member here selling some.
Theyā€™re an awesome looking wheel. Unfortunately, both of the specs Weds offers are pretty terrible.

?? specs terrible due to offset? +50/WedsSport vs +60/factory are very close.

am i missing any other GLOSS BLACK wheels i should be considering?

Thanks!

Yes. Sure, itā€™s close but the factory offset looks awful.

I ended up with gloss black Regamasters in the proper spec.

Personally I prefer the Rays. i'm not a fan of the how the spoke is tapered towards the rim on the WedsSports.

Looking @ these pics Iā€™d go Rays. Iā€™m not a huge 5 spoke fan tbh.... but of these 2, Rays.

have you looked @ DRā€™s? IMO the 6 spoke looks much more solid and shows a lot less of bare rotor...

Look good too.. and 23 pounds. +38 is a bit more aggressive than I was thinking. can that spec wheel handle a 255/40/18 tire okay on stock suspension? i have no plans on lowering the CTR.

+38 sits just in line w/ the fenders to really fill out wheel wells. You will be fine with a 40 sidewall as long as you stay @255.

if I wasnā€™t lowering, Iā€™d probably do the same ??
