yes,
I sprayed a couple more layers of flat black on the grill that goes into the large center vent and installed it. It was at my house so when I picked up the hood it didn't have the grill installed on that pic up above.

Hit up @VividRacing I think he said there's a carbon and a frp available.
Yes, I am checking with vivid now, waiting to hear back. the grill vent cover, does it say varis or it is just blank ?

Ran the hood without pins for 2 years. Have done 100+mph runs and no issues.
Have you done a top speed run to see if everything is okay? I am deciding whether i should do a hood pin when i get my varis hood

Very recently installed the knock off of this hood, the EPR "varis", and had to go through similar choices. I've always been a fan boy of the carbon fiber hood look/aesthetic so left mine unpainted.

I definitely want to protect it and did so with Suntek Reaction PPF, came out super clean! Loving the look and superhydrophobic properties (like a ceramic coat). The one downside for me is that I don't currently have covered parking and the dark color gets hot as hell in our summer months, so I just ordered a car cover for it, should help protect from UV.

Also went with the Aerocatch locking hood pins, I think we did a pretty good job installing them. It was definitely a nerve racking experience making the cuts

thats why i plan on going all OEM CW color for the hood, no black what so ever. I can only imagine how much water spots from the heat the hood would get
