So I’ve owned my 17 SI for about two years now. The only time my immobilizer has ever turned on before was when my key fob died.
yesterday I was racing a charger and at the top of 5th gear over a hill, my immobilizer kicked in at about 110 mph and I had to coast onto the shoulder. I had to jump my car to get back on the road and it started with the horn blaring.
afterwards for about 100 miles it kept acting like I was leaking boost. If I didn’t very gradually accelerate, my car would gain boost and the repeatedly kick the turbo on and off until I let off the gas.
It’s still doing it, and I’m wondering just what on earth happened?
Any ideas would be great.
Additionally, is there any way to remove or disable the immobilizer?
