help! how to reset the immobilizer?

Battery died. Is charging now. Owner's manual says immobilizer reset is required. Manual says to insert the key in the ignition. What is the procedure in our case with only the remote and start button?

For me (Canadian version, don't know if it matters) I had to just hold the brake, clutch, and push start simultaneously to get it going after the red immobilizer light was blinking.

This worked: Put the key in the drver side door, turn and hold it for 30 seconds.
