Why can't you just unthread the stud entirely then thread it back in through the downpipe?

I saw a video from the FK8 group in Facebook that they drenched it with PB Blaster in 4 days. When they took it off, it was smooth as butter. ?

So the thread on the nut was backin out not the stud., we PB’d it for about an hour! We tried tightening and untightening and noticed it was the nut not the stud. So we used a pry bar to put pressure on the dp and nut to try and back it off forcefully, and pop! Elbow feels pretty good rn!!

My strategy has been PB the night before, morning of, and during removal. 2 downpipes removed so far with no problems. Breaker bar ON STRAIGHT is also a huge help.

The quality of bolts and studs that Honda are using lately are crap as I would say. Unlike before, even though you don’t soak it with PB Blaster or WD-40 for a long time, just give it a short soak, they’re still fine.

So we got it on boys!! Grinded the dp down a bit to fit enough thread out and got a nut on. Besides the first start residuals that burn off ain’t no leak!! Runs great!!!
