Headlight Clearcoat Issue?

Just had a check on my headlights today and noticed some hazing and some spots that appear to be the clear coat coming off on the surface of it but not 100% sure. Anyone able to confirm and is this something that might be fixed under warranty?

That's pretty unusual given the age of the car and your location. Can you feel an edge to that or is it smooth still?

I would call that a defect and would hope warranty would cover that.

Yeah, I haven't had a check with other civicxs that i've spotted at work but yup seems a bit weird. There's a slight edge and roughness to it and apparently some visibly odd edges around the housing where the trim pieces meet the headlight. Appears on both headlights.

I ask because the UV protection is on the outside of the headlight. If you can feel the edge of that defect, then it's definitely the UV coating coming off.

Ah, yeah. it's a bit hard to say visually but i can confirm there's some odd roughness to it. I'll probably bring it in and have it checked out to see if warranty can cover it. Not sure if it's just going to be detailed or full headlight housing swap. I'd assume they'd try to detail it since it's cheaper for them than to replace the units. That and it might take a bit for them to actually get that fixed.

It wasn't too bad dealing with it but it all comes down to the tires. Though that was me keeping mostly OEM spec'd winters. (only difference were the wheels being a +40 offset)
