$40 2020 CTR shifter is a valid upgrade too. Especially when paired with Acuity FK8 Stage 2 kit.

(I can't swallow the full shifter price for a DD, tho it's an awesome shifter)
I run this setup and absolutely love it. The full shifter assembly for the Si is really nice but it's a bit too stiff for daily driving imo

Yup. This got me close to what I had in the BRZ and it's awesome for DD. No complaints.

Will the CTR shifter fit the LX console?
Yes, all 10th gen 6spd shifters are interchangeable AFAIK. Get the 2020 CTR if you do that upgrade.

I agree the shifter could be tighter. $479 is a bit spendy, but Christmas is coming!
It's worth it once you install it and shift, and realize what shifting was meant to be like

Agree. In the old muscle car days I used to convert factory shifters to the Hurst Competition Plus which added adjustability and eliminated the rubber bushings in the linkages. Major improvement.

Too confirm, is the Type R shifter part number
54100-TGH-A01
Is anything else need from the dealer?

AO1 is the pre-2020.

54100-TGH-G01 is 2020, you want that one. Nothing else is needed, but might as well look at the Acuity FK8 stage 2 kit (since you're going all the way in there anyway)

Happy to report I have no problem with the stock setup - it shifts beautifully.

You are one of the lucky ones! That or I've been doing it all wrong!

I mean to be fair, nothing was wrong with the OEM setup. Just much better/racier ones out there.
