I'm so tired of these sites combining 'breaking news' about the new Honda generation and then slapping some random render they came up with of the Type R on the cover of the article, even though the R wasn't mentioned once.

It's because they know nobody's gonna be reading their site to find out about the latest Civic LX.

They purposely structured this article to come off as news about the Type R, without ever mentioning the Type R. If you're reading this, car journalists: fuck yourself.

Maybe I’m just being irrational, but I prefer the FK8s looks to the render.

One of the better renders i've seen. At least they didn't just smack the accord face on it and call it a day. Still think the 11th gens are gonna be more toned down, less "over styled". But not the worst thing I've seen... I just don't think it looks "next gen" enough...

First thing I thought of when I saw that render was "that front end looks like an Accord"

Doesn’t look bad imo.

Honestly, if something like that overall came out as a new 2022 Civic I would be disappointed. It looks like an FK8 with a new nose and hood. Rest of the body looks the same to me. Maybe I’m too harsh but renderings can be hit or miss. I’ll wait for the actual car to come out.
